This afternoon Dr. Suzelle Barrington will be
presenting World War I As Seen Through its Memorials at the Chateauguay Valley Historical
Society’s Taste of History. All are
welcome to come and hear her presentation at 3pm at the Ormstown Legion at 33
prince Albert St in Ormstown.
In Howick, the Remembrance Sunday service
commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that ended the
First World War, will begin at 10:30am in Howick
United Church and will be led by Evie Kerr and Pastor Guy.
There will be a women’s event held on Wednesday,
November 28th, beginning at 9:30am at SouthWest United Church at 1445 Clemenceau in Verdun. The cost for attending and for lunch will be
$10 before November 17th and $12 afterwards. To register, please contact Valerie Nickson
