Howick Stewards will be meeting on Monday, January 23rd at 7;30pm in the church. 

The time has come in the Howick congregation to renew (or begin) your subscription to the United Church Observer.  The cost is $25 and may be given to Evie Kerr. 

The time for annual reports is now here!  Please have your reports to Barbara by Sunday, January 29th so they can be printed and distributed in time for our annual meetings and Official Board. 


The United Church has launched a special appeal for the Philippines following the typhoon that hit on Christmas Day, Typhoon Nockten.  To contribute, donations may be made online through the church’s website:  w.united-church.ca; by phone with a credit card to 1-800-268-3781 ext.2738; or by mail to:  The United Church of Canada, Philanthropy Unit – Emergency Response, 3250 Bloor St W., Toronto, ON, M8X 2Y4, with the memo line marked Typhoon Nockten-Emergency Response. 


Montreal and Ottawa Conference Stewardship Committee will be offering a workshop for Treasurers, Trustees, Stewardship and Outreach Committees on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Summerlea United Church at 225 50e Ave from 8:45-3:30.  There is no charge for this workshop and lunch is included, but donations would be appreciated.  Registration is requested by Monday, March 13, 2017 to psales@united-church.ca or by phone to 1-613-841-9291. 


The Janet McCrory-Tremblay Memorial Achievement Fund seeks to recognize children and youth (up to 18 years of age) that are doing good things for others. Leaders, teachers, coaches and others in a leadership role with youth from the Howick area are invited to submit applications. The deadline is April 1, 2017.
