Announcements for Sunday, March 12th, 2017


In 2010 Fred Marika and Lexis Beattie founded I AM HESHIMA, an organization that provides youth in Kenya with education, leadership, sports and dance while giving back to their communities.
Everyone is welcome to hear them explain their continued role with the organization on Thursday, March 23 at Howick United Church at 7:30.

Can an artist help Christopher Columbus?  Why does Count Shuvoff like golf?  Who is Alpha One?  The Howick Youth Drama Club shows are Friday, March 17th at 8pm and Saturday, March 18th at 2pm and 8pm at the Howick United Church.  Tickets are $5.00, $3.00 for children under 12.  Refreshments after the show.  For tickets contact Carole at 450-829-3887 or nesscarole@gmail.com.  Come and join us and meet the mop specialist!

Doing a Spring Clean and de-clutter?  The Huntingdon Hospital Bazaar (March 31, 2017) is looking for donations. Allyson and Nadine Orr will transport your treasures to the Bazaar for you.

   
The Janet McCrory-Tremblay Memorial Achievement Fund seeks to recognize children and youth (up to 18 years of age) that are doing good things for others. Leaders, teachers, coaches and others in a leadership role with youth from the Howick area are invited to submit applications. The deadline is April 1, 2017. Applications can be found on the Howick United Church website: howickunitedchurch.ca

Georgetown is hosting the  popular gospel choir ”Together 2000 Choir” for the second time on April 8th
